Professional Crisis Management Testimonials

I work as an ESE Intervention Specialist. I am responsible for discipline of the school, identifying behavior problems, and developing strategies for student success. One of the first things I did when I came to Palm Avenue School, in 2000, was to have the entire faculty and staff go through PCM training. Two-thirds of the staff (the principal and vice-principal included) certified at Practitioner Level II and the remaining staff certified at Practitioner Level I. The result of the training was immediate. The behavior and discipline problems dropped by 80%. We are currently in the process of certifying new staff members as well re-certifying the certified Practitioners.
As the 2003 school year comes to an end our discipline and behavior problems remain at considerably low levels. I sometimes wonder if I have worked myself out of a job.

Over the past several years I have received formal training in various major crisis management systems while working with children, adolescents and adults who have significant emotional problems and developmental disabilities.  PCM is the first crisis management system that provided me with enough hands-on practice during training that allowed me to effectively and safely use the procedures immediately following training.  PCM's focus on crisis prevention and  and crisis de-escalation strategies along with true competency-based training has lead to successful outcomes for the individuals I serve.

The Professional Crisis Management Association, Inc. trained our staff to safely handle disruptive and aggressive students with the utmost confidence.

Professional Crisis Management training was chosen because it met a specific need for children and adolescents who have intellectual and/or emotional problems. Staff have found this approach to be safe, effective, and behaviorally sound. Many programs of physical assistance were reviewed and this training (PCM) was most thorough in both the mechanics of the movements and the psychology of the process.

Lead Supervisor of Emotionally Handicapped, Severely Emotionally Disturbed, and Autistic Programs, School Board of Broward County, Florida

I have been using the Professional Crisis Management system for over five years. The system is both safe and extremely effective.
